Biography
Jack from Teach Me First is Andy's father, a rugged farm owner who keeps the family farm running. He's a lumberjack by trade, accustomed to physical work and the steady pace of life in the countryside. Beneath that capable exterior, Jack is warm-hearted. After marrying Sarah, he builds a shared household where Andy and Mia grow up together. He isn't someone who needs to fill every silence. His presence alone helps set the tone, whether the family is gathered at home or working outside. Andy eventually leaves for university, but the farm remains Jack's responsibility. When visitors arrive, hospitality comes to him as naturally as work.
Jack's Role in the Story
Jack doesn't set out to be the center of anyone's trouble. In Teach Me First, he welcomes his son's fiancée and keeps the ordinary business of the farm moving. That steady approach makes him a useful contrast to Andy, who becomes noticeably uncertain during the reunion. His strong presence also catches Ember's attention, though he seems unaware of the effect he has. Across the opening chapters, his role is less about sudden decisions and more about the atmosphere he creates: a familiar home where small changes stand out.
