Biography
Ember from Teach Me First meets Andy while they're at university, far from the farm where he grew up. Kind and eager to please, she wants the people important to him to feel comfortable around her. An invitation to spend the holiday with his family gives her the chance to try. She arrives engaged to Andy but unfamiliar with the habits and history that shaped him. Ember also grew up without a steady father figure, a detail that gives her own family expectations a different cast. She's curious, polite, and willing to lend a hand, though she doesn't always know what a look or a silence means.
