About Episode 1: Back to the Farm

The road trip for this family visit does more than move the couple from one place to another. It puts Ember in an unfamiliar setting where she has to meet people who already share years of memories. In Teach Me First, Episode 1 hinges on first impressions and introductions, but not all of them go smoothly. Jack greets the new arrival, and Ember seems surprised by how assured he is. Meanwhile, Andy's search for Mia takes him out of the house and into the stable. We find out quickly that time apart has made a difference. What's interesting is how little anyone says directly: the tension shows up in pauses, quick reactions, and the effort to act normal.
